Philadelphia Magazine has been very kind to Executive Chef Pippo Lamberti and his restaurant, Positano Coast in Old City. In 2006, they included him as "One of Philly's Next 8 Great Chefs", and in February (2008) the publication ranked Positano Coast in the top 20 of their "50 Best Restaurants" in the entire Philadelphia area.

Pippo Lamberti has learned from the best including his father, Aldo Lamberti, one of the most prolific restaurateurs in this area whose restaurants include Caffe Aldo Lamberti in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, as well as Positano Coast in Old City. Pippo also interned with Chef Georges Perrier at Le Bec-Fin in Philadelphia, which helps explain the French techniques this young chef brings to his rendition of fresh and inspired classic Italian cuisine.

Positano Coast is a celebration of one of the most beautiful spots in the entire world - Positano on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Historically a fishing village, it's understandable there would be so much emphasis on seafood. Of course, Chef Lamberti's love for fresh fish has much to do with this, and everything from the menu to the decor is all about the beauty and serenity of this great town.

Positano Coast is a delightful surprise, and a perfect choice for lunch, dinner, or perhaps their fabulous Happy Hour (5:30 to 7:30 on Monday thru Friday) featuring their famous Positano Lemon Drop. Happy Hour can be enjoyed either at their beautiful bar or in their unique open-air 2nd story lounge, called Sopra. Positano Coast also offers outdoor patio dining in warmer weather.
