Susanna Foo on Walnut Street opened in 1987 and year after year, this great chef has become one of Philadelphia area's culinary treasures. For some twenty-one years, it's been a steady diet of Stars, Bells, Diamonds, and James Beard Awards, along with all kinds of accolades that kept this spot in the forefront of America's great restaurants. The lady from Inner Mongolia, who arrived in the United States in 1967, has been successful over a long period of time doing her rendition of Chinese influenced French dishes along with an array of classic Chinese delicacies.

Her restaurant is now located on Philadelphia's Main Line (Radnor) and called Susanna Foo Gourmet Kitchen. It has quickly become a family-friendly favorite for the suburban crowd.

Chef/Owner Susanna Foo has published two great books - Susanna Foo Chinese Cuisine, and Fresh Inspirations - a New Approach to Chinese Cuisine. She continues to travel to her homeland looking for new inspiration from places such as Inner Mongolia, Shanghai, Taiwan, and Beijing. Her cooking is always evolving, but the basics remain the same. It's all about fresh, seasonal ingredients and a lighter, more flavorful rendition of classical Chinese recipes.
